
Tangalan, Aklan- The second district of Aklan through the office of Congressman Teodorico Haresco has received a nomination to certify the Western district as Most Sustainable and Livable District in the country.
Haresco said that Nation Builders and MOSLIV Awards presented the nomination. The awarding will be held on March 21, 2025, at the Grand Ballroom Okada Hotel in Manila.
The organizer said the decision to present this award is the result of research and analysis carried out by a group of environmentalists, urban planners, architects, civic groups, entrepreneurs, and strategists directed by the council member of the NBMA Committee. Sustainability Standards is a group of international interests in the development of the individual, family, community, business, local government units, national government, and non-government organizations in population welfare, gender, health, resource exchange, enterprise, employment, organization, cooperative, entertainment, tourism, recreation, infrastructure, resource management, exploration, environment, disaster risk reduction and resiliency management.

The Selection Committee uses the criteria and methodologies of the Sustainable Development Goal in conjunction with the presentation of The Most Sustainable and Liveable Community bannered by its theme Ensure, Promote the Integration and the Principles of Smarter, Sustainable and Greener Community.
