Aklan’s 67th Anniversary Launches Hinuguran It Akeanon Trade Fair

Kalibo, Aklan- In celebration of Aklan’s 67th anniversary as a province on April 25, 2023, a 12-day trade fair entitled Hinuguran It Akeanon will be staged for the very first time on April 17-28, 2023 at the Trade Hall, Provincial Capitol Grounds, Estancia, Kalibo, Aklan.

The trade fair will highlight the province’s various cultural events including the Aklan Piña & Fiber Festival, Talibong Festival, and Ati-Atihan Festival which reflect our local artisans’ creativity and craftsmanship. It summarizes the uniquely Aklanon traits of being hard-working, passionate and creative especially in the field of arts and crafts.

Locally-made products by our 55 participating micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) will be showcased in different booth set-ups with a pavilion per industry sector. The displays will consist of loomwoven fabrics and wearables made of piña and other indigenous fibers, fashion accessories, gifts, furnishings, decorative crafts, and food products, among others.

This marketing event is in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Aklan; DTI – Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion; Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority; Provincial Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Council; Aklan Wearables and Homestyle Industry Council; Hugod Aklanon Producers Association, Inc.; and Aklan PiñaMANTRA, Inc.
