
Madalag, Aklan- The Aklan State University (ASU)-Kalibo Campus, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology VI – Aklan Provincial Science and Technology Office (DOST Aklan), hosted four (4) sessions of preparatory review classes for the DOST Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) undergraduate scholarship program applicants.
The review classes were held on February 20 and 27 and March 6 and 13 for students of Medina Integrated School and Ma. Cristina Integrated School in Madalag, Aklan.
This initiative is part of the “Empowering Akeanon-Bukidnon Communities through Science and Technology (EAST) Initiativesβ under the Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) program of DOST VI.
The sessions were led by scholar-volunteers from the ASU-Association of DOST Scholars (ASU-ADS) and aimed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills for the upcoming DOST-SEI scholarship examination.
Moreover, in celebration of Womenβs Month this March, ASU-Kalibo Campus extended its efforts beyond academic preparation through providing an orientation on Gender and Development at the participating schools on February 20, 2025 in enhancing social awareness and promoting gender equity, showcasing a holistic approach to student empowerment.
