KALIBO, Aklan — The Learning to Earning Pathways (LEaP) Program took center stage during the First Quarterly Meeting of the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) of Kalibo on June 3, 2026, at the New Municipal Building.

Provincial Youth Development Officer Janica Anne Dela Peña presented the program, which aims to equip young people with opportunities for skills development, employment, and career advancement. During the session, she guided participants on the registration process for the LEaP platform and demonstrated how youth can access and complete available online courses.

Dela Peña also introduced YOMA, the program’s partner digital platform, which offers learning opportunities, skills-building activities, and access to employment-related resources designed to help young people prepare for the workforce and stay informed about emerging opportunities.

The presentation formed part of the LYDC’s efforts to strengthen youth development initiatives and expand access to programs that support education-to-employment pathways for young Kalibonhons.

The meeting was attended by Vice Mayor Philip Yerro Kimpo, PPSK President and LYDC Chairperson Dave Gumayao, and Youth Development Officer Junel Dela Cruz, MPA, LPT, who facilitated the discussions.

Through initiatives such as LEaP, the LYDC continues to promote programs and partnerships that empower the youth and encourage their active participation in community development.
