KALIBO, Aklan- Security Screening Officer (SSO) Ann Villegas of the Office for Transportation Security (OTS) earned the appreciation of a passenger for her honesty and professionalism in facilitating the return of a left-behind wallet at Kalibo International Airport on May 27, 2026.

While performing her duty at the security screening checkpoint, a passenger approached SSO Villegas and turned over a black wallet found unattended on a seat at the pre-departure area. Upon inspection, the wallet was found to contain identification cards and cash amounting to Php 2,050.00.

SSO Villegas immediately endorsed the item to Checkpoint Supervisor (CPS) Louie Mars Beran, who coordinated with airline personnel to facilitate a paging announcement for the owner of the wallet.

Shortly thereafter, the owner of the wallet, a passenger of Cebu Pacific Flight 5J332 bound for Manila, approached screening personnel to claim the said item. Upon proper verification and identification, the wallet was safely returned to its rightful owner.

The passenger expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the OTS personnel for their prompt action, honesty, and professionalism in ensuring the safe return of his belongings.

The incident reflects the continued commitment of the OTS in providing trustworthy, reliable, and passenger-centered security service in support of the directive of President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. to uphold integrity, accountability, and excellence in public service across all government agencies.
