PARIS, FRANCE โ The Department of Tourism (DOT) is stepping up its efforts to strengthen the Philippinesโ status as a world-class culinary destination to the French travel market. Through back-to-back tourism promotions in Paris, the Philippine business delegation generated an estimated P722 million in sales leads from the recently concluded International and French Travel Market (IFTM) Top Resa and the Philippine Culinary Showcase.
The Philippines showcased its rich gastronomy and growing culinary credentials at IFTM Top Resa, one of Franceโs leading multi-segment travel trade fairs covering leisure, business travel, events, and MICE.
In celebration of the landmark inaugural launch of MICHELIN Guide Philippines last year, the country featured a MICHELIN Guide section offering newly curated travel packages to international travel buyers and media.
Held from September 15 to 17, the engagements generated an estimated P526.9 million in trade sales leads.
Earlier, the Philippines also presented the Philippine Culinary Showcase at Mischief in Paris, held from September 14 to 16 in collaboration with the Philippine Embassy in Paris and Philippine Trade and Investment Center-Paris.
The three-day business-to-business networking event introduced newly curated Philippine Culinary Tour packages to outbound tour operators, MICE decision-makers, and diplomatic and trade contacts.
The highlight of the event was an eight-course tasting menu co-curated by Chef Aaron Isip, founder of MICHELIN-starred Kรกsa Palma, and Paris-based Filipino chef Erica Paredes. The menu presented Filipino flavors through contemporary culinary techniques.
More than 100 targeted culinary industry figures participated in the showcase, which generated approximately P245.9 million in projected sales leads and created opportunities to promote Philippine culinary tour packages in the French and European markets.

On the sidelines of the IFTM Top Resa, the country also spotlighted its emerging destinations and tourism products with a 48-square-meter pavilion at the Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles. The pavilion served as an active business hub for seven private sector co-exhibitors featuring a range of Philippine tourism offerings for the European market.
It also connected the Philippine delegation with European tour operators, travel agency networks, airline partners, and trade media through business-to-business meetings. The discussions focused on expanding Philippine tourism products in the French market and developing specialized travel itineraries across the archipelago.
Based on eTravel data, the Philippines has welcomed 65,002 tourists from France as of October 17, 2026.
