Davao City- The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), through its ECCP Southern Mindanao Business Council (SMBC), was recognized at the Pasidungog: Garbo sa Dabaw 2025 with two esteemed awards—the Business Development Award and the newly introduced Hall of Fame Award, the highest distinction granted to outstanding and consistent awardees.

Receiving the award were ECCP Southern Mindanao Business Council Chairman and Freedom Inc. Executive Director Mr. Antonio Peralta and ECCP Davao Branch Officer Andriane Sam Gura.

Pasidungog: Garbo sa Dabaw is an annual recognition ceremony honoring individuals, organizations, and businesses for their significant contributions to Davao City’s growth and development. The event is a key highlight of Araw ng Dabaw, the city’s founding anniversary celebration.

As the only foreign chamber to receive this recognition, ECCP Davao and its Southern Mindanao Business Council have played a vital role in promoting the region’s economic growth, investment opportunities, and policy advocacy. The Chamber has actively collaborated with the Davao City Investment Promotion Center (DCIPC) and other stakeholders to position Davao as a premier investment destination. Moreover, through business briefings, stakeholder engagements, and policy dialogues, ECCP has continuously championed peace and security through sustainable economic development in Mindanao.

The awarding ceremony, held on March 13, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang, Davao City, celebrated ECCP’s long-standing commitment to business excellence and its pivotal role in strengthening Southern Mindanao’s economic landscape. The Business Development Award recognizes the Chamber’s consistent contributions to enterprise growth, while the Hall of Fame Award underscores its sustained efforts in enhancing Davao’s investment climate.
