Camp Siongco, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao del Norte โ The Kampilan Defense Press Corps (KDPC) has elected its new set of officers, with Drema Quitayen-Bravo, Station Manager of NDBC Cotabato, emerging as the newly elected President.
The election took place on February 28, 2025, at the NCO Clubhouse in Camp Siongco, bringing together media professionals dedicated to strengthening their collaboration with the military. The newly elected officers of KDPC include:

Outgoing KDPC President Ferdinandh Cabrera expressed his gratitude to the KDPC members and the 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division’s leadership for their unwavering support throughout his term.
The induction ceremony was led by Brigadier General Donald M. Gumiran, Commander of the 6ID and Joint Task Force Central (JTFC), who emphasized the crucial role of the media in combating misinformation and fake news in todayโs digital communication age.
“The partnership between the Philippine Army and the media is vital in ensuring transparency, credibility, and public trust. The Kampilan Defense Press Corps has been instrumental in bridging the gap between the military and the communities we serve,โ said Brig. Gen. Gumiran.
The event was also attended by key 6ID officials, including Col. Rey Rico, Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations (G7); Lt. Col. Roden Orbon, Commander of the 6CMO Battalion and 6ID Spokesperson; and Major June Mark P. Matugas, Division Public Affairs Officer overseeing media relations.
