Buruanga, Aklan- The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Regional Welfare Office VI (OWWA RWO VI) participated in the National Reintegration Network (NRN) Caravan: One-Stop Shop Service for Sustainable Reintegration held at Poblacion, Buruanga, Aklan.
The activity, led by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Regional Office VI in partnership with OWWA RWO VI and the Local Government Unit of Buruanga, gathered 15 partner national agencies to bring government programs and reintegration services closer to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families.
Through the theme โ€œBalik Buruanga, Balik Pamilya,โ€ the event embodied the essence of compassion and cooperation, ensuring that every OFW returning home receives guidance and care during their transition. In his message, Mayor Allan P. Dagohoy expressed his appreciation and encouragement, saying, โ€œYou donโ€™t have to face this new chapter alone โ€” we are here every step of the way.โ€
Despite heavy rains and flooding, participating agencies continued the caravan, proving their strong dedication to serving OFWs even in remote areas.
For hisย  part, Christian S. Labuyo, Family Welfare Officer โ€“ Aklan, represented OWWA RWO VI during the activity and assisted in promoting OWWAโ€™s reintegration programs and welfare services for OFWs and their dependents.
