33 media partners named as Social Protection Champions; BINN included
ILOILO City – The DSWD Field Office VI recognizes 33 media partners regionwide during the Media Pasasalamat held in Iloilo City March 21, 2024.
These media partners were identified as the Most Supportive Media Outlets and Individuals who extended extraordinary support to social protection and advocacy campaigns of the Department.
Among the group awardees for the Most Supportive Media Partners for Radio Station are Radyo Pilipinas, DYSI Super Radyo Iloilo; Aksyon Radyo Iloilo; RMN Bacolod; 91.7 Radyo Natin FM – San Jose, Antique; K5 News FM formerly Radyo Bandera Iloilo, and Bombo Radyo Iloilo.
For the Most Supportive Media for Online Platform, the awardees are Philippine Information Agency-6, Iloilo Information Center; Capiz Information Center; Antique Information Center; Aklan Information Center, Negros Information Center, and Philippine News Agency-6.
In print media, awardees are Iloilo Metropolitan Times, Panay News, The Capiz Times in Roxas City; and The Daily Guardian while the Most Supportive Media for Television is GMA Regional TV– One Western Visayas.
Awardees for individual awards for the Most Supportive Media Partner in Online Platform are Annabel C. Petinglay of the Philippine National Agency (PNA), Jun N. Aguirre of the Boracay Island News Network; and Lilibeth A. French of Iloilo Infocen Manager; and Ted Aldwin Ong, Blogger of the People’s Domain.
Also, the awardees for the Most Supportive Media Partner for Print are Jennifer P. Rendon of The Daily Guardian, Tara Katherine L. Yap of Manila Bulletin; and Elyrose S. Naorbe of the Iloilo Metropolitan Times while awardees for the Most Supportive Media Partner in Broadcast are Elena C. Pabiona of the Radyo Pilipinas, Joel P. Franco of RMN-Iloilo; Merianne Grace Ereñeta of the Radyo Pilipinas and Lolito Sornito Jr. of Aksyon Radyo Iloilo.
Lastly, the Most Supportive Media Partners in Television are Evelyn Josue of the IBC TV-12, Christine Lunasco of ichannel, and Emmanuel Alcalde of The Barkadahan sa Iloilo.
