3rd ‘Hinuguran It Akeanon’ to feature 94 MSME’s
KALIBO, Aklan (PIA) — A total of 94 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from Aklan will take part in the 3rd Hinuguran It Akeanon Trade Fair, set on April 23 to 30, 2026 at the Aklan Trade Hall, Capitol Grounds in Estancia, Kalibo, in celebration of the 70th Aklan Day.
The trade fair is organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Aklan Provincial Office, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Aklan.
According to DTI-Aklan, participating MSMEs will showcase a diverse range of products, including premium piรฑa fabric-based items, handicrafts, home dรฉcor, fashion accessories, and food productsโeach reflecting local innovation, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage.
The agency also confirmed that to further strengthen market linkages, eight institutional buyers have been invited to engage directly with exhibitors and visit selected production sites. These include Rustanโs, Tesoroโs Handicrafts, Kingsmen Bespoke, Onesimus Corporation, Gillette International, Joann Bitagcol, Our Handmade Heritage, and EPG Enterprises.
Anchored on the theme, โPagpadayon it Aton Panublion: 70 Years of Aklanon Heritage, Pride and Progress,โ the trade fair aims to expand market opportunities for local enterprises while promoting Aklanโs thriving creative industry.
The Provincial Government of Aklan, through the Aklan Trade, Tourism, and Promotion Center (ATTIPC), also shared that this yearโs Hinuguran It Akeanon will feature the Hinuguran Villageโa vibrant showcase of Aklanโs finest food, homestyle, and craft products, each distinctly Filipino and proudly Aklanon.
Designed to resemble a charming village, the space will present a curated collection of Aklanon brands, thoughtfully arranged into dedicated sections. At its center stands a symbolic bridge, representing the connection to what Aklan is known for and continues to celebrate: piรฑa, craftsmanship, fashion, furniture, and food.
The event will officially open on April 23 at 5:00 p.m. with an Opening Ceremony, followed by a Fashion Show at 7:00 p.m. featuring contemporary designs by local designers, highlighting Aklanโs world-renowned piรฑa fabric. (AGP/SQP/PIA Aklan)
