94 Former Rebels Receive Financial Assistance

Calinog, Iloilo – The 12th Infantry (LICK ’EM) Battalion, facilitated the distribution of financial assistance under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) to 94 Former Rebels (FRs) at Hall of Governors, Capiz Provincial Capitol, Roxas City on July 23, 2024.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) led the distribution which is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to aid former rebels in reintegrating into mainstream society. The distribution of Financial Assistance under Executive Order 70 (EO70) initiative is designed to offer financial support to help FRs transition to peaceful and productive civilian lives. In addition, the Provision of Psychosocial Support for FRs is granted.

The event was attended by Gov. Fredinel Castro Provincial Governor, Nieva D. Camposano PSWDO, Atty. Carmelo N. Nochete, Regional Director DSWD FO VI, Police Colonel Jerome Afuyog Jr. CPPO, Cherryl P Tacda, DILG VI, Joerine Tan, E-CLIP Focal, Josie Cambel, MSDWO Tapaz, Jonalyn Floreno, MSWDO Cuartero, and all of whom expressed their support for the ongoing peace initiatives in Capiz.

The 12IB remains steadfast in its mission to uphold peace and security in the region, working closely with local authorities and communities to achieve lasting harmony and development.
