MAKATO, Aklan- Vide Mationg=Pamatian, 60 years old soft-spoken professional farmer said she is fighting to represent in the Second District to empower women and young people in the May 9, 2022 political race.

In an interview, Pamatian said she decided to run the uphill battle drawing the inspiration from her idol Vice President Leni Robredo.

“When I saw the campaign trail of Robredo I see that there is nothing impossible. Like Robredo when she started joining the politics few years ago. I do not have a political machinery and money. Like Robredo, I am campaigning to streets and even under the shades of a tree. I am enjoying the support of women and the youth wherever I go to,” she said.

Her opponents were the incumbent Congressman Teodorico Haresco and Matt Wacan a former military spokesman.

“Among my platforms of governance is the upgrading of our province’s agriculture industry, an alternative livelihood for women and the youth, boosting of tourism in mainland-Aklan among others,” she added

She also expressed opposition in the BIDA bill in Boracay and will oppose it once she got elected.

Vide Mationg=Pamatian is the youngest sibling of Atty. Leovigildo Mationg (+).
