Pioneering Marcos loyalists switch support to Yorme

KALIBO, Aklan- Several pioneering political coordinators in Western Visayas under the Marcos Pa Rin (MPR) and the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) umbrella have expressed their resignation and instead switched their support to another Presidential candidate Isko ‘Yorme’ Moreno.

Lyn Arguelles , also the former assistant regional coordinator of the Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte National Executive Coordinating Committee said several officials have switched to Yorme for personal reasons.

It could be recalled that Bongbong Marcos also known as BBM has taken oath as chair of the PFP in December 2021. His chairmanship made him qualified to run as a strong contender as a presidential candidate.

“Our resignation is not for monetary reasons but more of a personal one. Before we resigned we used our personal resources just to supposedly help BBM win the presidential race,” she said.

The pledge of allegiance to Yorme was officially done last April 24, 2022, at the Aklan Polytechnic College here.

But according to some BBM supporters, not all MPR coordinators have shifted their support to Yorme.

Arguelles group despite withdrawing their support to BBM has confirmed that they are still supporting the candidacy of Vice Presidential contender Sara Duterte.
