A three daysย fire safety convention which aims to discuss updates for all Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel nationwide regarding new plans and enforcement will be held in the Island of Boracay on Wednesday, July 13, 2022
“Boracay is top priority for the Bureau of Fire Protection(BFP) National Headquarters because of the lack of firefighting capabilities” said Fire Chief Inspector Rowel Limjuco, Acting Provincial Fire Director of the BFP-Aklan
He also added that there is a strong possibility for the activation of the BFP-Fire substation in the island to hasten the response in case of a fire.
The convention is expected to be attended by different government officials, particularly, DILG Sec. Benjamin C. Abalos Jr. and BFP Chief Dir. Louie S. Puracan along with all BFP Regional Directors Nationwide.
