Malay PNP nets nine suspects in various crimes

In just two weeks, the Malay Municipal Police Station headed by PLTCOL DON DICKSIE L DE DIOS, Chief of Police showed impressive accomplishments in different operations conducted in the whole Municipality of Malay, to include Boracay Island.

On campaign against illegal gambling, Malay PNP nabbed three (3) individual in violation of PD 1602 in relation to RA 9287 on “Illegal Gambling” in Barangay Manocmanoc Boracay Island on July 11. Malay PNP operatives conducted anti-illegal gambling operation at Bgy. Manocmanoc, Malay, Aklan and were able to arrest Alvin Gelito y Alquino, native of Bgy. Manocmanoc, Malay, Aklan, Darlie Fabunan y Rodilas, native of Sibuyan San Fernando, Rombon and NIda Garcia y Resulta, native of Ibajay, Aklan who were caught in the act of playing “TONG-ITS”.

The cases against the suspects were filed before the Provincial Prosecutors’ Office in Kalibo, Aklan thru inquest proceedings. On Campaign Against Wanted Persons, Six (6) individuals were arrested by the Malay PNP Operatives in the different manhunt operation led by PLT CONRADO S ESPINO JR., Chief Intel. This morning July 14 an accused was arrested at Bgy. Manocmanoc, Boracay Island Malay, Aklan, she was accused of Qualified Theft with bail of 40,000.

On July 11, two (2) accused were arrested at Bgy. Poblacion, Malay, Aklan, they were accused for violation of sec 78 of PD 705 with bail of PHP36,000 each; on July 7, an accused was arrested at Bgy. Manocmanoc, Malay, Aklan for violation of Sec. 2 of RA 9262 with bail fixed to PHP 72,000.00; on July 5, an accused while processing his police clearance at Malay MPS Headquarters at Bgy. Manocmanoc, Malay, Aklan was arrested for having a warrant of arrest on crime of Qualified Trespass to Dwelling with bail fixed to PHP 2,000.00; and on July 1, a foreign national was arrested at Bgy. Balabag, Malay, Aklan for a crime in violation of Sec. 266 of Nationnal Revenue Code with bail bond fixed to PHP 12, 000.00.

They were subsequently turned-over to the proper court concerned. PLTCOL DE DIOS commends his operatives for their relentless efforts during the extensive manhunt operations bringing the arrested wanted persons to the folds of justice.

‘This only shows that the Malay PNP is committed in its fight against illegal gambling and wanted persons. Our relentless efforts on launching operations as directed by our Provincial Director PCOL CRISALEO R TOLENTINO and our Regional Director PBGEN FLYNN E DONGBO will continue and we will strictly impose the full force of the law as it steps up its campaign against all forms of lawlessness to minimize criminality in Malay,” PLTCOL DE DIOS said.
