Manalo family of Altavas helps Paeng’s victims

ALTAVAS, Aklan- The Manalo family of Altavas, Aklan, is helping those who were affected by the recent typhoon ‘Paeng.’

Albert Manalo said he is helping especially to provide financial assistance worth P2,000 a month to four children whose parents died in a landslide. Albert’s sister, Delen Manalo Morano, is shouldering half of the package.

“We wanted to thank another donor, Millet Legaspi Castro, for pledging another P2,000 monthly for their daily necessities,” he said.

Aside from the financial assistance, Manalo said he is also helping both Kalibo and Altavas residents by giving them free kolos of dog food.

“During calamities, we often hear of aid being given to the affected residents, but we seldom hear of aid being given to pets. I wanted to help fill the gap,” he added. Currently, Manalo is building a campsite resort and a pet cemetery, which would help Altavasnon residents.
