DTI Iturralde Retires after eight years of serving Aklan

KALIBO, Aklan—Well-loved Department of Trade and Industry—Aklan Ms. Ma. Carmen Iledan Iturralde has recently announced she is retiring from government service. She served as DTI provincial director for eight years.

Although she is retired, she is still serving in a temporary capacity. She is set to announce the acting provincial director next week.

For years, Iturralde advocated for strengthening the development of local entrepreneurs in the province, regional trade fairs, especially among young people among others. It was not clear why she decided to retire early. She traces her roots from Malinao, Aklan.

She also conducts regular briefings with the media to inform the public about her programs and advocacies in the province.

Before Aklan, Iturralde served as the provincial director of Guimaras.
