MANILA – The Croatian Employment Services, in partnership with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), has opened around 435 job opportunities for Filipino workers under a Government-to-Government (G2G) hiring program, marking a significant step in expanding safe overseas employment opportunities for Filipinos in Europe.
โThis is a direct result of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.โs directive to open dignified and safe opportunities for Filipinos abroad. Ang mahalaga dito, malinaw ang kasunduan at parehong gobyerno [Philippines and Croatia] ang nagbabantay. That means may proteksiyon, may suporta, at siguradong may respeto sa ating mga manggagawa,โ DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac said.
The DMW continues to expand government-to-government hiring initiatives that guarantee fairness, transparency, and protection for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
As part of the pilot recruitment round, the job openings cover three major positions in the hospitality and food service sectors: 255 Room Attendants, 110 Waiters, and 70 Cooks.
To qualify, applicants must be Filipino citizens aged 18 years and above, have completed at least 10 years of education (secondary level), possess a TESDA NC II Certification in the relevant field, and be physically and mentally fit for overseas employment. A valid NBI clearance, PSA-issued birth certificate, and passport with at least one year validity must also be presented.
Successful candidates will be employed in Croatia, and their competitive salaries will range from โฌ976.99 to โฌ1,079.24, or approximately โฑ62,500 to โฑ69,000 gross monthly, depending on the position.
