17 SLPAs in Aklan complete financial management, simple recording training

Tangalan, Aklan-The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI (DSWD6), through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), conducted a Financial Management and Simple Recording Training Workshop for 17 Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) in Tangalan, Aklan.

The activity aimed to strengthen the associations’ financial management and organizational documentation practices, contributing to the sustainability of their livelihood enterprises.

Provincial Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Willie M. Adrias served as the resource person on financial management, guiding participants on the proper use of essential financial recording tools, including cash books, cash vouchers, and other records necessary to maintain transparent and accountable financial transactions.

To further enhance organizational governance, Lovella T. Fulgencio, Secretary to the Sangguniang Bayan of the Municipality of Tangalan, discussed the proper preparation of meeting minutes and the process of securing Sangguniang Bayan accreditation for Civil Society Organizations. The session provided participants with practical knowledge to improve documentation and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.

The participants were representatives of newly organized SLP associations.
