San Juan City, Roxas City to Formalize Sisterhood Agreement; Mayor Francis Zamora to address 15,000 Barangay Officials at Iloilo Liga Day 2026 .

San Juan City- Mayor Francis Zamora of San Juan City will travel to Western Visayas for two major engagements that underscore San Juan Cityโ€™s commitment to strengthening partnerships among local government units and supporting grassroots leadership.

On July 18, Mayor Zamora will join Roxas City Mayor Ronnie T. Dadivas in the Sisterhood Signing Ceremony between the City of San Juan and the City of Roxas at the Dinggoy Roxas Civic Center in Roxas City, Capiz. The Sisterhood Agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between the two cities through the exchange of best practices in governance, tourism, economic development, disaster resilience, digital transformation, public service innovation, culture, education, health, sports, and other areas of mutual interest. It also reaffirms the commitment of both local government units to pursue collaborative initiatives that will bring lasting benefits to their respective communities.

On July 19, Mayor Zamora will serve as one of the guest speakers during Iloilo Liga Day 2026 at the Iloilo Sports Complex in Iloilo City. He is expected to deliver an inspirational message before an estimated 15,000 barangay officials, including 1,721 Punong Barangays from across Iloilo Province.

Among those expected to attend are Liga ng mga Barangay National President Jessica Dy, Liga ng mga Barangay La Union Chapter President Ramon Ortega Jr., Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr., Congressman Ferjenel Biron, Congresswoman Kathy Gorriceta, Former Congressman Mike Gorriceta, and Congressman Lorenz Defensor, together with other national, provincial, city, municipal, and barangay officials.

Mayor Zamoraโ€™s participation in both events reflects San Juan Cityโ€™s continuing efforts to build meaningful partnerships with local government units nationwide while sharing innovative governance initiatives, promoting excellence in public service, and fostering stronger inter-local cooperation for the benefit of communities across the country.
