A New Way to Discover: Anjoworld Opens Science Discovery Center

Cebu City+ The Department of Tourism Central Visayas welcomed a new experience that brings learning, curiosity, and discovery closer to visitors as OIC Regional Director Gelena Asis-Dimpas graced the opening of the AnjoWorld Science Discovery Center on August 13, 2026, at AnjoWorld Theme Park in Minglanilla, Cebu.

Developed in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the new center offers immersive, interactive, and hands-on exhibits that make science and technology more engaging and accessible, particularly for learners and families.

The attraction expands Central Visayas’ tourism landscape by introducing an experience where curiosity becomes part of the journey, complementing the region’s established natural, cultural, and leisure offerings.

It also supports DOT7’s “Discover More to Love” campaign by showing how tourism can go beyond familiar sights and destinations to create experiences that spark curiosity and inspire discovery. Through the Science Discovery Center, visitors are invited to see Central Visayas not only as a place to visit, but as a destination where learning, exploration, and wonder are part of the journey.

With science becoming an experience to discover, Central Visayas continues to broaden what tourism can offer, turning every visit into an opportunity to learn something new, see things differently, and discover more to love.
