DOT, Klook Renew Strategic Partnership to Boost Philippine Tourism

MANILA โ The Department of Tourism (DOT) and Klook, a leading Asia-based travel and experiences platform, have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a multi-year strategic partnership aimed at strengthening Philippine tourism and expanding the countryโs reach in the global travel market.
The agreement was renewed on Tuesday, September 1, as the DOT and Klook seek to generate greater tourism demand by combining the governmentโs tourism development programs with Klookโs digital platform, global marketing reach and extensive network of local tourism operators.
A key component of the partnership is the continuation of tourism campaigns such as โDiscover More to Love,โ which seeks to encourage travelers to explore more destinations and experiences across the Philippines.
The renewed partnership will also focus on developing curated tourism experiences while helping local tourism businesses adapt to digital platforms and reach a wider market.
The DOT and Klook will work together on initiatives highlighting the Philippinesโ hidden gems and emerging destinations, providing greater exposure to areas beyond the countryโs traditional tourism hotspots.
Through the DOTโs Regional Offices, the partnership will likewise support destination branding and tourism product development, particularly among community-based tourism operators and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The collaboration is expected to give local tourism enterprises greater opportunities to participate in the digital tourism economy while allowing visitors to discover a wider range of Philippine destinations and experiences.
The DOT said the renewed partnership forms part of its continuing efforts to make Philippine tourism more competitive, inclusive and digitally accessible, while strengthening the countryโs position as a global travel destination.
The initiative also supports the โLove the Philippinesโ campaign by promoting diverse tourism experiences and encouraging travelers to discover more destinations throughout the archipelago.
If you want, I can also turn this into a ๏ฟฝโ Boracay/Aklan-focused version, highlighting how Klookโs partnership could benefit destinations like Boracay, Malay, and other emerging tourism areas in Western Visayas.
