Altavas Representative Crowned 4Ps Exemplary Child Ambassadress

KALIBO, Aklan – Precious Reann T. Venancio from Altavas has been named this year’s 4Ps Exemplary Child Provincial Winner, besting 16 other contestants during the Provincial Search at the Aklan Training Center here.
Venancio took home the title along with a cash prize of Php 5,000, a plaque, and a special award for Best in Scrapbook.
The 1st Runner-up honor went to Joevelyn A. Nabor from Madalag, who also received special awards for Best in Production Number and Best in Talent. 2nd Runner-up was awarded to Mary Jean G. Magpusao from Malay. Both runners-up received Php 2,000 cash and a plaque of recognition.
Meanwhile, Quene Rayzel O. Amador from Batan earned the Best in Interview award.
The event formally opened with remarks from 4Ps Aklan Provincial Link, Stephen M. Suajico Jr., who highlighted the annual search’s goal of promoting children’s welfare and values development among beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
Aklan Provincial Social Welfare and Development (PSWD) Officer Evangelina Gallega also graced the event. In her message, she encouraged 4Ps families who have reached Level III (self-sufficiency) not to fear graduating from the program, assuring them of continued support from the provincial government.
“The provincial government remains steadfast in supporting the program’s advocacies, especially in uplifting the lives of poor, marginalized, and vulnerable sectors,” Gallega emphasized.
Richard A. Sevilla, SWAD Team Leader, also inspired participants by sharing his personal journey from being a salt vendor to becoming a Registered Social Worker. He proudly shared how he helped his brother graduate and become a Certified Public Accountant and how another sibling also followed his footsteps in social work.
Outgoing 2023 4Ps Exemplary Child Winner Mary Grace D. Iguin delivered a heartfelt farewell and motivational message. She recounted her memorable experience during the Araw ng Kabataan celebration in Cebu City, where she met fellow children representatives from 17 regions across the country.
The Provincial Operations Office (POO) of Aklan extends its gratitude to the panel of five judges who handled both the desk review and live judging, as well as to all the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officers (MSWDOs) from various LGUs, especially Jerre Mae B. Prado of Malay and Harriet Gildy Therese Yatar of Altavas, for their presence and support.
The Social Marketing Section of the DSWD Field Office VI led by the Regional Information Officer Therese Fely Legaste, 4Ps Information Officer II Montesa G.
