El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental—The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) recently commemorated its 38th Founding Anniversary on February 6, 2025, with a series of events, including the relaunch of “Batang Agricultural Extensionist (BAE-2): More Collection of Inspiring Young Farmers’ Stories in Region X”. The said corporate book is designed to promote agriculture among the youth and young farmers in the region.
The BAE-2 publication showcases success stories from young farmers who partner with ATI, highlighting their achievements and the challenges they have overcome to inspire active participation in agriculture. This publication serves as a testament to the resilience, innovation, and passion that young farmers and agripreneurs possess, reinforcing the idea that the future of Philippine agriculture is promising.
“This publication is a testament to our commitment to sharing knowledge, experiences, best practices, and inspirations that will arm our youth with confidence in an industry rarely appreciated by the new generation,” Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez said in her message during the relaunch.
Following the BAE-2 relaunch, there was a cover reveal of two additional publications: “Gastronomica 2: A Second Helping” and “Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSA) Compendium of Best Practices”. These publications aim to further celebrate and document agricultural innovations and best practices in Northern Mindanao.
The anniversary celebration underscored ATI’s commitment to empowering youth in agriculture, aligning with this year’s theme: “Youth in Agriculture: Cultivating Innovations through Partnership”.
