
El Salvador City- To strengthen the agriculture industry’s adoption of advanced technologies and empower farmers through agriculture-related applications, precision farming, e-commerce platforms, and digital smart solutions, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center X (ATI-RTC X) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and turned over a Digital Farm Tech Package to the Binuguayan, Guinotang, Altubo, Tipolan Farmers Irrigators Association (BGATFIA) Inc.
The Digital Farmers Program( DFP) Farm Tech Package includes:
– One (1) DFP Farm Tech Utility Bag with rain cover for secure transport of valuable equipment;
– One (1) trainer’s tablet for digital and multimedia training content;
– Ten (10) smartphones for hands-on training and online marketing of farm products;
– One (1) Smart Bro Pocket Wi-Fi with prepaid starter load;
– One (1) outdoor projector with screen;
– One (1) rechargeable portable sound system with microphone and speaker; Two (2) flash drives with multimedia resources and applications; and
– DA-ATI–developed training materials.

Present during the MOA signing and turnover were Center Director Maria Lydia A. Echavez, OIC–Assistant Center Director Javier P. Andalan, Admin and Finance Unit Chief Efren C. Macario, Information Services Section Chief Honeylou C. Bastasa, and Planning, Management, and Evaluation Unit Chief Cheaster Kimberly Magat.
BGATFIA was represented by its Chairman, Manolito S. Emar; Auditor, Elvie T. Rollon; and farmer-members during the event. The Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) of Alubijid was also present, led by Municipal Agriculturist Dr. Frederick L. Labis with staff Gene Harvey Busiños. Joining them were Alubijid Sangguniang Bayan Member and Committee Chair on Agriculture, Hon. Nikki Paolo A. Elarmo, and Smart Telecommunications Inc. Mindanao Relations Head, Judee Caroline D. Chaves.

Fifteen members of the BGATFIA completed the DFP training on June 9-12, 2025 at ATI-RTC 10, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental.
This activity was in collaboration with the MAO-Alubijid, through DFP regional trainer Gene Harvey Busiños.
