DSWD6 launches PAMANA livelihood projects in Ibajay, Aklan

Ibajay, Aklan- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VI, through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), launched two livelihood projects in Ibajay, Aklan under the Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) program to support peace and community development.

โ€ŽThe Aparicio PAMANA Association in Barangay Aparicio received a Php 300,000 grant for a rice retailing project, while the Mina-a PAMANA Association in Barangay Mina-a was granted the same amount for an agricultural supplies project.

โ€ŽThe project launch was attended by DSWD6 Assistant Regional Director for Operations (ARDO) Katherine Joy Lamprea, Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) representative Romulo Del Rosario, and Ibajay Municipal Mayor Engr. Jose Miguel M. Miraflores, who expressed their support for the initiative.

โ€Žโ€œThese projects are not only meant to provide income for our SLP associations, but also to help promote peace and development in the community,โ€ ARDO Lamprea said.
