DTI-Aklan Launches Lokal Muna Trade Fair
A “Lokal Muna” Trade Fair will be conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry Aklan Provincial Office in celebration of the Buwan ng Wika this month of August. A total of 42 Aklanon Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) will participate in this marketing event which will run for two weeks from August 16-31, 2022 at the Activity Center of Citymall Kalibo, Poblacion, Kalibo, Aklan.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on August 16, 2022 at 2:00 in the afternoon.
This provincial fair will showcase the craftsmanship, design innovation, and artisanship in local products. It will feature the new weaving blends of indigenous fibers and other raw materials as well as Aklan’s well known meat and other food products.
Focus industries will be Wearables and Homestyle; Processed Foods (frozen meat, fruit juices, cacao, and coconut based); and Bamboo Processing.
This event is in partnership with Citymall Kalibo, OneAklan WantAklan, Provincial Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council (PSMEDC) and the Wearables and Homestyle Industry Council.
