First Ati-atihan-themed pet show held in Kalibo

KALIBO, Aklan- Around 20 dogs and ten cats joined the first Ati-atihan themed Pet Show held at Pastrana Park, Kalibo on Friday morning.

Kalibo Mayor Emerson Lachica said the event was organized by the Municipal Agriculture Office.

“I’ve got four pet dogs at home. I consider them as a stress reliever especially during this time of COVID 19 pandemic,” Lachica said.

According to the organizers, the said event aims to create rabies awareness and also promote pet welfare.

Considered champion in the dog category is the dog named Olie, second was Cooper and third place went to Samantha. Some ten dog owners also received consolation prizes.

For the cat category, the second place goes to cat owner April Duque and the champion is a Persian cat owned by Aisa Mascara.
