The event’s impact extends beyond the clean-up drive, as it sets the stage for Boracay Island to host the Kiwanis International Southern Philippine District Convention in 2026. Led by Aklanon District Governor Dan Fernandez of Kiwanis Club of Kalibo Incorporated, this convention is expected to attract thousands of delegates from across the Southern Philippines, providing an opportunity to showcase the province’s tourism potential and promote sustainable tourism practices.
