
Kalibo, Aklan โ The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Aklan reported that the National ID (NID) System registration in the province has reached a cumulative total of 563,303 registered individuals as of 31 December 2025, since registration began in 2021.
In 2025 alone, a total of 19,068 individuals were registered, equivalent to 123.58 percent of the annual target of 15,430 registrants.
Of the cumulative total, 541,005 individuals are aged five (5) years old and above, while 22,298 are below 5 years old. In 2025, a total of 5,157 children below 5 years old were registered in the NID System.
As of 31 December 2025, the number of registered children below 5 years old represents 39.30 percent of the projected 2020 population for this age group, following the pilot registration that began in 2024.
Throughout the year, PSA Aklan conducts NID registration activities across the province, utilizing both fixed registration sites and mobile registration in barangays, particularly in far-flung areas, as well as in schools and through house-to-house visits.
Furthermore, registration efforts also focused on enrolling unregistered Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) household beneficiaries, with 4,556 beneficiaries registered.
In addition, the office registered 2,788 senior citizens and 86 persons with disabilities (PWDs) for the year 2025.
These initiatives are intended to promote inclusive identification, ensure that no one is left behind, and enable all individuals to fully enjoy the benefits of having a national ID,โ said Engr. Antonet B. Catubuan, Chief Statistical Specialist.
The office also announced that mobile registration resumed last 19 January in various barangays across the province to accommodate individuals who are unable to visit the Fixed Registration Center (FRC).
Meanwhile, registration and other NID services remain available at the FRC located at the Refindor Building, Osmeรฑa Avenue, Estancia, Kalibo.
