Negosyo Centers Participate in LGUs’ Business-One-Stop-Shop

KALIBO, Aklan- In partnership with the different Local Government Units (LGUs) in the province, the Negosyo Centers under the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Aklan Provincial Office, participated in the conduct of the Business-One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) which started last January and will continue until the end of the 1st Quarter.

This annual activity, pursuant to Sec. 11 of Republic Act No. 11032 or the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007, aims to streamline the application and renewal of business permits by providing a one-stop business facilitation service within the respective municipalities. A queuing mechanism is implemented to better manage the flow of applications among the different LGU departments and other national agencies needed in the processing of the said permits.
The following Negosyo Centers participated in the various BOSS schedules: 1) Negosyo Center Balete (January 9 – February 21); 2) Negosyo Center Banga (Jan 7 – February 7); 3) Negosyo Center Buruanga (January 9- 24); 4) Negosyo Center Libacao (January 2-10); 5) Negosyo Center Nabas (January 2 – February 21); and 6) Negosyo Center New Washington (January 6-17).
Business counselors provided the office’s programs and services mainly on Business Name Registration (BNR), Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE), provision of industry information and other business counselling services needed by the clients.
