OFW Corner: NDRRMC sent a message : Warning!

Most of you probably recieved a message from National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) regarding typhoon alerts, signal warnings, and water level updates.
For instance, a reminder like this:
“Pinapaalalahanan ang lahat na maghanda dahil sa patuloy na pag-ulan dulot ng namumuong sama ng panahon. Iwasan ang landslide prone area. Evacuate immediately from flood prone zone. Mag-ingat at panatilihing ligtas ang pamilya sa anumang sakuna.”
Binasa mo ba, o hinayaan mo na lang? O baka naman nung nag-notify sa phone ay swinipe mo na lang kasi ayaw mong maistorbo sa movie marathon or games dahil wala kang pasok ngayon?
But we are Filipinos: of course we will find a way na mag-enjoy sa kahit anumang kalamidad at sakuna. I can see na nga ang mga netizens na kanya-kanyang upload ng katatawanan while filming the flooding in their respective areas.
But if they had experienced Ondoy, Frank and other typhoon hits that left casualties and millions of destruction to properties and businesses na mapapaisip ang iba:
“Ganito na lang ba talaga ang takbo ng buhay ko?”
