
Bacolod City- The Department of Environment and Natural Resources aims to address the instability of tenure to land occupants as well as needed by the government agencies for public use and/or purpose.
Thus, the Provincial ENR Office of Negros Occidental led by PENR Officer Joan Nathaniel Gerengaya turned-over a Special Patent Title of Mambukal Resort and Wildlife Sanctuary to the Local Government Unit of Negros Occidental headed by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson on July 15, 2024 at the Provincial Capitol Social Hall.
The turned-over special patent was obtained after a thorough submission of the required documents that was carefully examined. Furthermore, a survey and documentation of the said area were also made in collaboration and active participation of the LGU Negros Occidental.
The Special Patents were issued to the government agencies or institutions that are intended for school sites, hospital, multipurpose center, terminal wharf, public market, municipal/barangay hall, etc., that are made for public use.
PENRO Gerangaya in his message extended his gratitude to all who played an important role in achieving the said milestone. He said that it is a testament of the collective dedication to conservation and preservation of our natural heritage.
Together with PENRO Joan were Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Edgardo Rostata, Bago Community ENR Officer Rosievel Dimatulac, and PENRO personnel.
