PNP places Malay MPS on full alert ahead of ASEAN SEOM in Boracay

Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan — In preparation for the upcoming ASEAN Senior Economic Officials’ Meeting (ASEAN SEOM) scheduled on December 10–12, 2025, to be held on Boracay Island, the Malay Municipal Police Station under the leadership of PLTCOL ALAIN TERENCE L LICDAN, Chief of Police, has implemented heightened security measures and placed all units on Full Alert Status.

On December 7, 2025, a thorough accounting of personnel was conducted at the Malay MPS to ensure operational readiness. This was followed by a comprehensive deployment briefing to provide guidance on assignments, rules of engagement, and coordination protocols, aimed at ensuring the safety and security of foreign delegates, local officials, residents, and tourists.

Simultaneous accounting and briefing were also carried out in all Police Community Precincts, with Precinct Commanders directed to ensure full attendance of personnel and the proper dissemination of orders prior to deployment.

In support of security operations, the Aklan Police Provincial Office likewise conducted accounting of Site Task Groups and Task Units, including augmented forces, in preparation for their deployment within the Municipality of Malay.

The intensified security posture demonstrates the Philippine National Police’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and order and ensuring the successful, safe, and orderly conduct of the ASEAN SEOM 2025 in Boracay Island.
