
Malay, Aklan- As part of the National Heritage Month 2025 celebration, the LGU-Malay, through the Municipal Tourism Office, held the Malaynon Heritage Cooking Contest at the Malay Ecological Park on May 23,2025, highlighting traditional local dishes across three categories: Appetizer, Main Course, and Dessert.
Participants from various barangays showcased authentic Malaynon recipes, with winners selected based on authenticity, taste, presentation, and cultural value.
APPETIZER

3rd: Brgy. Argao (Ensaladang Puso)
MAIN COURSE
1st: Brgy. Cogon (Bas-oy nga Manok)
2nd: Brgy. Motag (Dulis nga Paksiw)
3rd: Brgy. Caticlan (Ginataang Nipa)
DESSERT
1st: Brgy. Motag (Coconut Candy)
2nd: Brgy. Cubay Sur (Minatamis na Saba)
3rd: Brgy. Kabulihan (Bukayo)
