Iloilo City- On December 18, 2025, the Regional Culture, Heritage, and the Arts Committee (RCHAC) of the Regional Development Council, in collaboration with DEPDev Regional Office VI, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and the Department of Tourism, conducted the 1st Gawad Balangaw: Regional Awards for Culture and the Arts, at the Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DepDev) Regional Office, Iloilo City.
Three outstanding individuals from the Province of Aklan were recognized during the ceremony, highlighting their significant contributions to the preservation and promotion of Aklan’s culture and the arts, bringing pride and honor to their respective fields and to the province of Aklan.
The following awardees were honored for their exemplary dedication and outstanding achievements:

This recognition reflects the vital role of individuals and organizations in sustaining the cultural heritage not only of the Province but also of the region. May their achievements inspire us all to uphold, protect, and promote Aklan’s culture and arts.
