PAFC endorses the proposed conceptual framework for a multi-million resort project in Sigcay, Banga

KALIBO, Aklan- The Provincial Fisheries and Agriculture Council (PAFC) has officially endorsed for in-depth study and evaluation the conceptual framework for the Aklan River Island Seventeen (ARIS) proposed multi-million resort in Sigcay, Banga Aklan.

In a copy of Resolution No. 24-2002 signed by Vicmae Lardaus, PAFC Coordinator, and Arnulfo Magcope, PAFC-Aklan Chairman, it forwarded a copy to the Department of Agriculture-Western Visayas in Iloilo City.

Magcope said the PAFC also forwarded a copy to the Department of Tourism for its review.

The resolution stemmed from a presentation made by the group called Madianos Heritage Foundation Incorporated during the PAFC consultative meeting in October.

“The ARIS is an integrated development concept that includes the Aklan River Irrigation System Improvement, Agricultural Crops, Poultry and Livestock Production, Hotel Training and Recreational Facilities,” Magcope said.

The resolution was approved through a motion made by Margarito Andrade of Banga and Godynel Isedenia.
