Kalibo, Aklan – On October 25, 2022, a low pressure area (LPA) was detected in the East of Eastern Visayas. On October 26, the LPA develop into Tropical Depression (TD) “PAENG”. On October 27, in view of this, Aklan was hit by a series of heavy rainfalls that caused 78,048 families affected and damage agriculture of a total cost of P 119,305,066.98.
In Kalibo, Aklan 11,498 families were affected caused by Tropical Storm “PAENG”.
On November 14, 2022, LIONS CLUB INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT 301-B1 with the support of its Charter Clubs; Iloilo Integrated Lions Club, Kalibo Lions Club, Pototan Lions Club, Barotac Nuevo Metro Lions, Iloilo Emerald Lions Club, Iloilo Host Premier, Iloilo United Lions, Club, Capiz Lions Club and Lioness Capiz Lions Club were holding random medical mission and distribution of relief food packs at Bakhaw Norte, Kalibo, Aklan. 400 families received the relief food packs and 69 people benefited from the (DIABETES) medical mission.
