Open letter and reaction

The holy week procession is a form of catechism, that tells us about the life,passion, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus.
From the post that are circulating on social media where many of our Camaros have reacted.

Reverent only wanted to manage the lineup of the Holy Week procession like all of us.Like what reverent have said on his Post on social media we must not be offended or get angry if we are corrected by others,in the same way the Reverent may also not be offended for the reactions of other Camaros who have knowledge in the lineup of the holy week procession. Especially the comment section was turned off. This simply shows that he doesn’t want to listen on other opinions .

In different diocese and other parishes, we may have different cultures and traditions, but we all have the same faith under one Holy Catholic Church. And here are some of the pointers that I have noticed from the post that we can reflect and think about. May the Holy Spirit guide us to understand this things.

1. All of the holy processions are lead by the ceriales for Jesus leads all of the procession.Jesus leads our way, because all of the holy possessions are walking with Christ. Behind the ceriales was the image of Saint peter, for he was the first apostle who was called by Jesus,the image of the Blessed Virgin is place at the back of the procession,for the Blessed Virgin guides us to follow Jesus.
2. The images of the apostle’s are place behind the karosa of the captive Christ or after the washing of the feet,for that was the last appearance of the apostles, after Jesus was arrested. But not including the image of Saint John the beloved, for he is with the Blessed Virgin during the crucifixion and the Burial

3. On the number 15 Claudia Procula the wife of Pilate. Claudia was not a Catholic saint, and she must not have a Solotario image for solitary image are only for a catholic saint. The solitary images are not only used for catechism but it also for veneration,so we must not make a solitary image of Claudia for we do not venerate her as a Catholic saint.

4. Nazareno, we must be specific, if what kind of Nazareno is going to be part of the lineup for the holy week processions we can start from Jesus receiving the cross, and so on.

5. La Caida there are 3 falls of Jesus in the station of the cross we must be specific if it is the first the second or the third fall.
6. Before the paso of the crucifixion, we have a karosa of Sr.Despojado the image of Jesus undressed by the soldiers. This is an important scene, because this is part of the station of the cross also.

7. At the back of the karosa of the Pieta was the paso of Sagrada mortaja the holy burial or the preparation for the Burial of Jesus.
8. Behind the paso of the sagrada mortaja this is followed by the carosa of Santo Entiero,for the of santo entiero was the image of the Dead Christ “inside the tomb” and not the image of the dead Christ to be buried.this is also why we put the image inside a “Calandra”the calandra represents the tomb of Jesus.

9. In 29 Susana,Susana was not and never been a Catholic saint, and we have to remember that not all of the characters that are mentioned in the gospels are Catholic saint,so we must not include Susanna in the Holy Week procession, for she’s not a Catholic saint, and we only make and venerate images of the Catholic saints who became part of the passion of the Christ.

10. On 33 and 34 Santa Maria Cleophas and Maria Jacobi are one person,for this Mary wife of Cleophas is the same Mary, the mother of Jacob also known as James the less. So there must be only one image of this Mary wife of cleophas mother of Jacob.

11. The Bethany siblings,they may be in separated in different karosas for each one of them had different story to tell and have distinct role in the life and passion of the Lord.

12. in 45 Judas Iscariot, although Judas is one of the most important biblical characters, in the passion of Jesus, he is still not a Catholic saint and must not have a solitary image for solitary image are only for Catholics Saint.because solitary image are not just for catechism but also for veneration.

13. In 47 San Pablo was not and never been part of the passion of the Christ. He was only mention on the acts of the apostles, and he was persecuting the early Christians before he became a believer of Christ.

14. San Jose the husband of the Blessed Virgin must not be included in the Holy week procession for he is already dead before the ministry of Jesus and since Holy Week possession is all about catechism. We must not include biblical characters that are not part of the passion of the Christ because this will make the faithful think that Saint Joseph was still alive during the passion,death and the resurrection of the Lord Jesus.

15. Lastly, the image of the sorrowful mother, or the Dolorosa is place at the end of the procession for the blessed virgin guides us to follow the path of Jesus, she leads us to follow her son.And she’s at the back of the procession because she was alone together with the beloved apostle John, after the burial of Jesus, she was alone in solitude in pain and sorrow.

At the end of this reaction, I want to tell all of you that we all have a common goal to manage the holy week procession rightly with the guidance of the Holy Catholic church. We must not fight one another,let’s talk and listen to one another we need to learn how to listen and be guided by the Catholic Church.
