Roxas City, Capiz โ The Capiz Police Provincial Office launched Rescue Challenge 2026 on March 5, 2026 at People’s Park in Brgy. Baybay, Roxas City.
Police Colonel Albert D Tapulao led the opening program. Members of the Command Group, Provincial Staff, and personnel of the provincial office joined the event.
The activity was attended by Raymond D Malapajo, Mayor of Maayon and representative of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines, and Jose Jimbo D Barruela, Mayor of Dao, Capiz.
Malapajo opened the program and expressed support for the initiative. He cited the role of strong coordination between local government units and law enforcement during emergencies.
The Rescue Challenge 2026 marked the start of a day-long series of activities designed to test the skills, teamwork, and readiness of police personnel in handling rescue operations. Participants will perform practical scenarios that simulated real-life emergencies, including knot tying, basic life support, carries and boat carries.
The activity aimed to strengthen operational capability and ensure that personnel remain prepared for rescue missions and disaster response efforts across the province.
Through this initiative, the Capiz Police Provincial Office reaffirmed its commitment to public safety and its duty to protect lives during times of crisis.
