
Malay, Aklan- The Department of Tourism Region VI, through its Tourism Industry Skills Program, in partnership with the Department of Transportation – Office for Transportation Security (OTS), successfully conducted the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training for the personnel of the Office for Transportation Security at Caticlan International Airport on March 11–12, 2026, held at Ximo Suites Hotel, Caticlan, Malay, Aklan.
The two-day training aimed to strengthen the service culture among airport security personnel by promoting the values of Malasakit, Bayanihan, and Excellence—the core principles of the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence. Through interactive discussions and practical activities, participants enhanced their understanding of delivering warm, efficient, and globally competitive service to travelers.
As one of the key gateways to Boracay Island, Caticlan International Airport plays a vital role in shaping visitors’ first and last impressions of the destination. This initiative highlights the commitment of DOT Region VI and OTS to continuously elevate service standards and ensure that every traveler experiences the genuine warmth and hospitality that the Philippines is known for.
