Boracay Island — The Caticlan-Boracay Transport Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CBTMPC) has announced a ₱10 provisional rate increase effective April 16.

Godofredo Sadiasa, CBTMPC Chair, stated that regular fares for tourists will rise to ₱60. Senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and students will be charged a discounted rate of ₱45.

The new rates will be implemented for the Caticlan-to-Boracay route and vice versa. Sadiasa confirmed that the implementation has been approved by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA).

”We will return to the ₱50 standard fare once fuel prices return to normal,” Sadiasa said.
