NegoShow: Agribusiness Enterprise Successfully Showcases Young Aklanons Innovations

KALIBO, Aklan- In celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, the Young Entrepreneurs Society – ASU (YESA), as part of the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC), successfully conducted the first-ever NegoSHOW: Agribusiness Enterprise, providing young entrepreneurs a platform to showcase innovative and value-added agricultural products.

Featured entrepreneurs included Mung Master, Daika’s Lip Balm, Chynn Food Products, Seagrow, Pawfect Treats, and mlbrry-o-bar, demonstrating how local agricultural products can be transformed into marketable enterprises that support farmers, create opportunities, and strengthen local entrepreneurship.

As the lead organization in implementing NegoSHOW, YESA was supported by the Aklan Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), with Ms. Mex Layson serving as the lead coordinator from PYDO in assisting YESA throughout the planning and implementation of the event.

Special thanks to guest speaker Mr. JohnDonel Tumbagahan, Senior Business Counselor I of DTI Aklan, and Hon. Billie Calizo-Quimpo, former Congresswoman and former Vice Governor of Aklan, for sharing their insights and support.

The event was also graced by Hon. Jose Enrique “Joen” Miraflores, Governor of Aklan; Hon. Edmundo M. Tolentino Jr., President of the Panlalawigang Pederasyon ng Sangguniang Kabataan Aklan; Asec. Juanquine Carlo “Wacky” Racho, Commissioner Representing the Visayas for the National Youth Commission; Ms. Neeja Kumar of the Local Youth Development Office of Malay, Aklan; and other guests and officials who supported the young entrepreneurs.

NegoSHOW proved that when young Aklanons are given the platform and opportunity, agriculture can become a powerful space for innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihood.
