IBP Aklan Honors Outstanding Legal Aid Volunteers

KALIBO, Aklan — The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)–Aklan Chapter recognized outstanding lawyers for their exemplary contributions to legal aid and public service during its Testimonial Dinner and Induction of New Lawyers on August 14, 2026, at the Marzon Convention Center of Marzon Hotel in Kalibo, Aklan.
Held under the theme “Pamana at Panata: Celebrating the Legacy and Future of the Legal Profession,” the event highlighted the profession’s continuing commitment to public service and expanding access to justice.
The IBP Aklan Chapter conferred awards on lawyers who demonstrated exceptional dedication to providing free legal assistance to individuals and communities in need.
Outstanding Legal Aid Volunteer Lawyers
The award recognized lawyers based on the number of pro bono cases handled, appearances in legal aid cases before courts and quasi-judicial agencies, and the preparation and filing of pleadings and other legal submissions from April 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026.

Outstanding Legal Aid Mission Volunteer Lawyers

The IBP Aklan Chapter also honored lawyers who actively participated in legal aid missions and outreach programs, with recognition based on their participation and the number of hours they rendered from April 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026.

The recognition underscored the important role of lawyers in making justice more accessible, particularly to individuals who may not have the financial means to secure legal representation.
The IBP Aklan Chapter congratulated all the awardees for their dedication to public service and their continuing commitment to expanding access to justice.
Their generosity, legal competence and compassion, the chapter emphasized, reflect the enduring legacy and solemn promise of the legal profession—to uphold the law while serving those who need it most.
