Proudly Aklanon: DTI-Aklan Showcases Finest Local Products at the Aklan Product Expo 2026

Kalibo, Aklan โ€“ The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Aklan Provincial Office, through the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan Program, is set to showcase the provinceโ€™s finest local products at the upcoming Aklan Product Expo (APEx) 2026 this 13-19 October at the Activity Center, SM City Iloilo.

The seven-day trade fair will feature the outstanding products of 43 Aklanon micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Visitors can explore a wide range of products, including processed food, coconut-based products, handicrafts, home dรฉcor, fashion accessories, health and wellness items and many more.

“The Aklan Product Expo 2026 provides our local entrepreneurs with a valuable opportunity to showcase the quality and uniqueness of Aklanon products to a broader market. Through this platform, we aim to strengthen market linkages, increase business opportunities, and elevate the competitiveness of our MSMEs. More importantly, this event highlights the talent, innovation, and determination of our entrepreneurs who continue to contribute to the growth of Aklan’s local
economy,” says DTI-Aklan OIC-Provincial Director Grace M. Benedicto.

The APEx also highlights the continuing collaboration among government agencies, local government units, and industry partners in promoting inclusive economic growth and supporting the sustainable development of the province’s priority industries. The activity is in partnership with the Provincial Government of Aklan, Aklan Provincial Micro, Small, and Medium EnterprisesDevelopment Council, Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. โ€“ Aklan Chapter and SM City.

With free admission, shoppers are encouraged to visit the trade fair area from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily and discover high-quality products proudly crafted by Aklanon entrepreneurs.

Lastly, to officially mark the opening of the trade fair, an Opening Program will be held on 13 October, 2:00 PM. The program will gather both private individuals and government officials, partner organizations, MSMEs and stakeholders to formally launch the week-long showcase.
