Three-day program reveals how to cultivate real happiness

Kalibo, Aklan—At a time when happiness eludes many, Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Philippines are preparing for their 2026 International Convention in Manila with the theme “Eternal Happiness.”

The Witnesses are one of the largest non-profit convention organizers in the world, and this year they will return to Pasay City with a free, three-day program that explores how everlasting happiness can be achieved through spirituality founded on practical Bible principles.

“We are very excited for this big event” said James Morales, spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Philippines. “The last time we had our International Convention in the country was in 2019, and it came with wonderful memories. We are looking forward to this year’s event as it will be another opportunity to be happy with our fellow worshippers coming from different parts of the world.”

The timely event will draw more than 5,000 international and about 20,000 domestic attendees to the city over the course of two weeks, beginning October 26, 2026.

It is estimated that the International Convention will generate approximately ₱1.5 billion in local spending during the convention period. This economic activity is expected to benefit a wide range of businesses, particularly in the hospitality, food service, transportation, retail, and entertainment sectors. In addition, many international delegates are anticipated to visit destinations beyond Metro Manila, allowing other regions of the Philippines to share in the economic benefits. As a result, the convention is expected to contribute significantly to local tourism and stimulate further revenue generation across various communities.

Additionally, the same program was presented at 19 international conventions throughout the year. These large-scale events were hosted in countries such as Portugal, South Africa, and Thailand and have welcomed thousands of delegates from all over the world.
