Manila- With summer trips in full swing, AirAsia Philippines is reminding travelers to pack smarter especially as Filipinos head out in groups, bring home pasalubong, and that means extra bags, gadgets, and the all-important need to sit together.

To make journeys smoother, AirAsia Philippines highlights key travel reminders every passenger should know this peak season.

Plan your baggage ahead and avoid last-minute baggage fees

To avoid higher last-minute charges, guests are advised to pre-book baggage and add-ons at least two hours before departure via the AirAsia MOVE app or official website.

AirAsia Philippines allows check-in baggage from 20kg up to 60kg, with no limit on the number of bags, provided the total weight remains within the purchased allowance. For safety, each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For carry-on, guests are entitled to two cabin items within the standard 7kg allowance (one cabin bag and one personal item). Those needing extra space may opt for Xtra Carry-On, offering up to 14kg from as low as Php 360 when pre-booked.

Fragile items such as glassware and electronics are accepted but must be properly packed, as they are carried at the owner’s risk.

Stay close, travel together

For many Filipinos, travel is best shared with family and barkada. With AirAsia’s “Seat Together” option, guests can enjoy up to 50% savings compared to booking seats individually.

In one booking, two passengers can select seats side by side, making the journey more convenient and connected.
