Boracay Newcoast Levels Up Summer with a Week of Back-to-Back Celebrations

Boracay Island- Boracay is gearing up for an electrifying stretch of summer as Boracay Newcoast rolls out two exciting back-to-back highlights: the inaugural Kite Festival and Love Boracay 2026. From April 27 to May 3, the island transforms into a lively hub of color, movement, and nonstop celebration—inviting both visitors and locals to dive into a week packed with immersive experiences and beachside energy.

Complementing the festivities is Boracay Newcoast’s diverse range of offerings, creating a seamless summer getaway. Whether for relaxation or adventure, it remains an ideal setting for meaningful moments shared under the tropical sun.

Kite Festival Takes Flight

Boracay adds a fresh highlight to its summer calendar as the three-day Kite Festival takes off on April 27 at 10 AM at Boracay Newcoast Cove 2. As the island’s first event of its kind, it introduces a new way to experience Boracay—turning its iconic shoreline into a vibrant canvas of color, creativity, and motion.

Held in partnership with the Malay Municipal Tourism Office, the local government of Malay, Aklan, and the Kite Association of the Philippines, the launch event kicks off with a ceremonial delta kite flying that signals the start of a new tradition. The beachfront comes alive with festival dances and kite-flying displays before easing into a glowing seaside scene with hot air balloons, illuminated LED kites, and an energetic after party led by DJ Justine Villar.

The Grand Kite Competition takes the spotlight from April 27 to 29, featuring flat, figure, and 3D geometric categories where participants showcase artistry and innovation. Each category will have three winners, with the first prize winners receiving ₱15,000.

Beyond the spectacle, the festival encourages participation through kite flying and design workshops on April 27 to  29, alongside a master exhibition led by Kite Master Cris Rosales and the Kite Association of the Philippines, offering a closer look into the craft. 

Adding to the festive atmosphere is a lineup of engaging on-ground activities, including glow-in-the-dark tattoos, island hair braiding, face painting, and live art sessions.

Completing the experience is the Summer Food Festival at Newcoast Beachwalk, running throughout the celebration. Here, guests can indulge in a curated selection of seaside pop-ups serving coastal flavors, grilled favorites, and refreshing drinks—perfect for enjoying in between kite displays, beachside activities, and golden-hour moments by the shore.

Boracay’s Signature Beach Party 

Keeping the energy high, Love Boracay 2026 returns from May 1 to 3 with its well-loved beachside party. As part of the island-wide festivities, Boracay Newcoast presents Wild Water Weekend, adding a distinct experience to the celebration. This much-anticipated weekend brings together music lovers for nights filled with electrifying performances from both international and local DJs.

The party kicks off on May 1 and 2 at Cove 2 at 8 PM, with dynamic performances setting the vibe.  On May 2, fans are in for a special treat as James Reid joins the lineup, adding even more excitement to an already high-energy night.

The festivities continue on May 3 with “After Love,” the official afterparty at the SavoyParty  pool at 4 PM. It’s the perfect way to wind down—or keep the party going—after an unforgettable weekend of music and celebration. Blahtubeats, TammySteelz, and more will round out the lineup to close the weekend on a high note.
