Akeanon lawyer is Presidential Medal of Merit Awardee

KALIBO, Aklan- An Akeanon lawyer has been bestowed a Presidential Medal of Merit Award because of his work in the fields of trade and industry.

The lawyer is Atty. Allan B. Gepty, who hails from Banga, Aklan. He has served as an assistant secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) since the time of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

His role in the DTI as an Assistant Secretary is to oversee International Trade Policy and Trade Negotiation.

It was gathered that Atty. Gepty once served as the corporate secretary of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) National.

The Presidential Merit Award was given by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Gepty also leads the Philippines International Trade Strategy in the post-pandemic period.
